About

My name is Paul Barrett, an ecommerce professional with nearly two decades’ experience in the digital sector – ten of those in ecommerce. I now provide consultancy and undertake contract work for online businesses across the UK.

I have previously worked client side, an experience which has given me valuable insight into the real-world issues affecting businesses. My most recent experience however comes from my 6 years as Strategy Director for one of the UK’s leading ecommerce agencies. During this time I worked closely with household-name clients such as Hornby, Scalextric, Airfix, Green People and Aqualisa, to name but a few.

I was also part of the team that created and delivered the highly successful BlueFoot CMS to the Magento market. A page-building tool that was later bought by Magento, it has now been incorporated into its core platform under the name PageBuilder.

I can provide support with the following across ecommerce platforms:

  • Ecommerce re-platforming
  • Shopify setup and integrations
  • Magento setup and integrations
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
  • Analytics interrogation and interpretation
  • 3rd Party service consultancy, i.e. site search, PSP, ESP, etc
  • Internationalisation
  • Ongoing strategy roadmap creation
  • Agency RFPs
  • Website audits

I am based in Sussex but available for ecommerce consultancy work throughout the UK. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
